Made from superior quality food grade material the hand operated scrapper is fitted with a slim long metal handle. The rotation of this handle sets the radial metal blades in motion and effectively scrapes off the dried coconut flesh. Nearly a month up after usage of the product.Pros-1. I have been used to the traditional method of scraping... This is much easier. No doubtCons and scope for improvement-1. The handle and the scraper metal part come separate in the package. The handle needs to be screwed to the metal scraper part. After using 3 times the threading got spoiled... Of course I did not ask for replacement but repaired it myself.2. The height of the instrument is 3-4 inches lower than the requirement. Your knuckles may rub against the surface when you rotate the handle.3. The vacuum base is not that good. It comes off 2-3 times when you scrape the half cocunutThus overall the designing needs slight improvement... I felt that the scraper blades could be placed zig-zag for easier scraping rather than all blades being parellel to each other

It requires strength on the hand holding the coconut to actually get grated. It might get a little difficult for older people since we need to hold the coconut for the whole time. If you have patience however, this is your product.
