I had thought this would slice nuts like almonds and cashews into thin slices or slivers. It does not do that. Instead it cuts them into small pieces - almost like thick grains of sand. It does this very well. Pretty easy to use as well. If this is what you want (cut into small pieces) go ahead and buy

Lasted for couple of uses only. It is not easy to use. Doesnt cut the dry fruits into proper slices, it just cuts randomly. Hard to use. Broke after couple of uses. Wont recommend.
