Yea takes few minutes to get infused. During that time one has to keep holding the lid. There should be a system in which it gets stuck for that duration . Once infused close the lid and stop infusing of tea.

The plastic parts are poor quality and the plunger especially won't last long. Besides the plunger head knob is the only way seemingly to open the kettle and that is a very weak link. Not worth buying. I have returned
