Advantages

Giving a demo video might help, not sure how the filter works. Any way the product is useful. Dont get carried away with pics with 2 cups :) they are just in the pic. You get only the mug :).. Worth the price and very good quality. I will recommend this buy

This is a good tea-pot if one has a family / surrounding with extensive tea drinkers. Reasons being:1. Easy to prepare the tea. (IE: has a handle and no need for complex pouring into cups).2. Can be placed on a hub / stove burner.3. Easy to clean. No tea stains.4. Looks trendy and modern.5. Has a strainer in built.One has to get used to the strainer. If not installed correctly, while pouring out the tea, the leaves will diffuse into the liquid. The plastic parts are of slightly inferior quality. But not a deal breaker, to be honest.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!STRAINER IS USELESS. DON'T BUY this if you are BUYING THIS ITEM FOR THE SAKE OF STRAINER!Reason: When ever we deposit Tea Leaves in the strainer, the leaves pass through the strainer and atleast 30% of them sediment down and again we need to RE-Filter them with conventional stainers which we use in our households!I have actually bought this to get rid of this filtration job! Now, I'm using this to microwave milk without the strainer to put it to some use!If your requirement is all about using this product with tea bags you are free to buy as any microwavable item does the same job of heating the water before you deposit the tea leaves!INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT CLEAR:The small booklet says useless things how to prepare Rose Tea, Berry Cider etc BUT NOT HOW TO USE THIS ON A MICROWAVE and for how long! A Wire Grid is supplied for use on a hot plate BUT how many of us use a hot plate kind of electrical appliances despite having gas in every household which is cheaper than electricity is a question ONLY the manufacturer can answer!Check on Youtube for videos to find carafes with simple one press manual button which filters the tea leaves and releases clean tea! Get one from your frends who stay abroad and treat yourself than this one!

The carafe is a little bit expensive. The plastics used in it is flimsy and not flame proof. Earlier Borosil used to sell their carafeswith bakelite handles, supported by Stainless steel belts to hold the glass jar in place which was reasonably resistant to direct gas stove flame.The product is pricey and below quality expectations.
