Disadvantages

Microwaved ommlette cooked on this tawa could never achieve as superfine shape and finish as one that I cooked on my gas burner or cooktop. Tried really hard so many times. Perhaps, the reason is non uniform distribution of heat across the surface of the cookware which claims itself to be microwave friendly. If I knew it earlier, perhaps I won't buy it - Not at this price for sure.

Very good product, used everyday in our kitchen for preparing fulka-chapati since more than a month now. Note - we dont use it for paratha or any oily chapati preparation, if you use it for that be prepared for sticky or cracking surface, i guess in that case a non stick tawa should be considered. Anyways, cleaning is also easy, i feel very good value for money.

Recently I purchased an LG convection oven. It came with a non-stick coated tawa for use in Grill/Convection/combi mode. Though it is a good quality stuff, I wanted a similar Microwave Tawa without any harmful coating.This hard anodised Tawa fits the bill. A real good hard anodised tawa which is super smooth and sturdy. Absolutely stunning quality. Worth the money. Metal spoons can be used and it is going to be a long-lasting microwave cookware. Carries a five year warranty card. Manufactured in Feb 2016 it came packed in its origina Vinod packing carton with a guarantee card.Exactly 25 Cms in dia with a 2cm flared sidewall. Weighs about 500gms. Caution: I ordered this item first on Vijay Vallabh (Royal) and received a fake Vinod Microwave Tawa which was more a Cake Tin Mould with a 5cm high sidewall. It was also flimsy weighing just about 250gms.There was no Vinod seal on it and no guarantee card.. I immediately returned it for a refund .If you do not receive the TAWA in its original Vinod carton with Vinod Black Pearl embossed on the back of the TAWA and no guarantee card, you are being taken for a ride by an unscrupulous seller. Return it and ask for a refund. See the photos.
