Not ideal for chapathi. For first few uses it was worst to use and clean. Making chapathi on it was the worst thing but I was out of any other tawa so I had to use it ..and after using it for some days I understood it's heating and cooling down process.. still it's not a product to be advised to buy . Not worthy of its price. My dosas come out well anyhow.
