Hawkins Tri-ply Stainless Steel Tava is designed to give you all the advantages of cooking in stainless steel while minimizing the divantages of sticking and burning that are normally associated with ordinary stainless steel. The cooking surface (inner surface) is made from 18/8 food-grade (AISI 304) stainless steel which is extremely hygienic most durable does not react with most foods and does not pit or corrode. The heavy gauge aluminium core spreads heat well for even cooking with no hot spots and retains heat for quick cooking. It is sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel and does not come in contact with food on the cooking surface. The base (outer surface) is made of AISI 430 grade magnetic stainless steel. Hence this cookware can be used on all domestic induction electric ceramic and halogen cooktops. Hawkins tri-ply stainless steel Tava is durable well-balanced and stays flat for quick cooking on induction and electric cooktops. The 3.5 mm extra thick tava has a unique shape with a flat base and gentle slog sides has just the right curvature for optimal cooking results - oil does not pool nor spill over the sides. The placement of the rivets is carefully designed to maximise the cooking area. The strong 6.0 mm thick stainless steel stay-cool wire handle is comfortable and safe to hold even when the tava is hot.

If you are purchase due to its finish then please don't buy. Saaf rakhne mein dum nikal jayega fir bhi saaf nahi hoga. Roti chupak jayengi , dosa to is per bhul jaye. Can work on low heat or low flame. Pata nahi company is product ko bana kyu rahi hai.

It the curious case of Hawkins and the gum. It is an average product with a sticker in front and may take you half an hour to get it cleaned. Heat distribution should have been better.

Product is good in terms of build quality and working. However it got permanent stains of oil in very first use which is looking so ugly and.If this process will happen slowly by using multiple times then its ok to accept but happening after first use ??????

I don't understand why there's been so much negative feedback abt this tawa .I've made Parathas & chapatis and nothing has gone wrong.Nothing got stuck or burnt on the tawa . You just need to implicitly follow the instructions.Preheat & Cook Only on a Low flame /Wash after it cools completely/Wipe dry at once. I'm using it only to make Rotis .Though it says you can make dosai also on it ,this is not a flat tawa { in the South we use a flat tawa for good dosai/also we never use a dosai tawa to make anything else /we keep it separate .Once you use it for anything else yr dosai will never turn out right thereafter .}This in my opinion is a chapati tawa &it works well .
