Came across this Tava while looking for another product and thought I must leave a review. My mum in law purchased it in 2003 for her own use and passed it on to me. I have been using it regularly. I have a bitter sweet relationship with the Tava as I do not like it's performance with my dosas. Sometimes it hehaves well and sometimes just doesn't let go of them! However, what I must commend is the quality of the Tava... Not a scratch in the past 18 years! Many non stick pans have come and gone but this has not left the shelf. It looks so good that I might pass it on to one of my girls!

The product is durable, easy to clean, it takes up little amount of oil.Product is best in the market, excellent quality, I didn't expect such quality at low price but the quality was outstanding at this price.Seller packaging was great. I returned this product because it is small. It says 26 cm. But 2 cm is sloping edge which cannot be used. I already have 28 cm concave hard anodized tawa from the same brand which I am using it for making dosa. The best features of this product are* It looks new even after several years (My 28 cm tawa still looks new)* Metal ladle can be used* No seasoning is required. Just heat the tawa for 90 seconds in high flame. Apply oil. Simmer. Now your tawa is ready for making dosa.* Unlike iron tawa, you can wash this everyday after use* Unlike nonstick tawa that is harmful to health, this one is perfectly healthy.* Most important of all "the tawa heats evenly and there is no burning of dosa in the center".* Easy to maintain and store. No rusting. Longevity guaranteed.* Except for the slipperiness when using on gas stove, I can't think of any downside.Go for 28 cm tawa, if you are buying to make dosa.
