I really loved this Tava, Rotis were made quickly because of equal heat distribution. There was no harmful fumes emitted unlike non stick tavas, easy to clean, you just have use non abrasive products for cleaning. If used properly, will last for long. Maintain medium heat to prevent rotis from burning. You might face some difficulty initially but non stick pans are not healthy for your lungs (they emit harmful fume on heating) plus you can secure your rotis from any toxic intraction from the non stick coatings. Stay blessed , eat and cook healthy.

This is definitely worth it. Roti and paratha turn out extremely well, exceptionally soft and puffs up spectacularly. My dosa takes a lot more effort but doesn't come out as well as it does on my cast iron dosa tawa. Omelettes also turn out better on cast iron. I did try to toast bread and it turned out crisp and evenly toasted so i think french toast might be a good idea. Overall very happy with my purchase. This is not my first hawkins produdt and they haven't disappointed me. The company has lived up to its usual standards and kudos to them. Please keep up the good work. I look forward to purchasing more from your impressive array of products. The delivery was prompt and on time but the packaging was a bit squashed on one side and the edge of the handle was visible. But there was no obvious damage to my product and my warranty card and bill were in place hence no complaints. And there was a note affixed on the outside of the package thanking me for cooperating with Silkrute in their endeavor to save the planet hence the minimal packaging which is fine and i totally agree with the concept.

I don't understand how and why others are complaining of burnt rotis. We just use it like we use regular iron tawa and it's been 2 weeks and we haven't burnt any roti. However, the only problem is the cleaning. This tawa needs to be washed thoroughly after every use, else oil just sticks and gets hardened next time you use it. Removing those hardened stains takes a hell lot of effort and soap.
