I bought the tawa to replace my old non stick pan. Initially had some trouble with it. I was trying to use it just like the non stick one. The roti’s either got stuck and burnt on high flame or came out really hard on low. I had to re- learn the whole roti making process, and now after a month my roti’s come out fine.What I do is, Heat the pan on medium flame, lower the flame, apply a thin layer of oil. Put a roti, flip in 15 seconds. Turn flame to medium high, when it’s done on that side, flip it again. When roti puffs up, lower flame, remove the roti.Hope someone might find this helpful.

Package contains: 1 tawa and a cookbook with usage and care instructions manual.What i like about it:1. Good tawa for making rotis, parathas etc.2. Good heat distribution for perfect cooking.What i don't like about it:1. It is costly. (well, most quality items are)2. It needs thorough cleaning after every use.3. Its surface is prone to scratches.(Don't use anything made of metal on it.)4. It doesn't get cleaned easily.Some cleaning tips:1. After every cooking session remove extra oil, ghee etc from surface with a cotton cloth or a napkin when its hot.2. Let it cool and then apply cleaning soap/gel and let it sit for 5-10 minutes and then clean it with scotch brite.
