This tawa is very good to make rotis very quickly. Once the tawa gets heated, we reduce the flame to either medium or sim and the rotis come out really well. I don't understand how and why others are complaining of burnt rotis. We just use it like we use regular iron tawa and it's been 2 weeks and we haven't burnt any roti. However, the only problem is the cleaning. This tawa needs to be washed thoroughly after every use, else oil just sticks and gets hardened next time you use it. Removing those hardened stains takes a hell lot of effort and soap.

The edges have spoilt by about 1 inch. Unexpected from this brand.AS CLARIFIED BY THE COMPANY, THE EDGES ARE SPOILT DUE TO IMPROPER CLEANING. THE OIL NEEDS TO BE THOROUGHLY CLEANED AFTER EACH USE. ELSE THE RESIDUE OIL WILL GET BAKED ON TO THE TAWA IN COOKING NEXT TIME/DAY.

I gifted this tawa (28cm) to my mother in law as she cooks big rotis and parathas. She has never been happier! The heat distribution is great and the rotis or parathas are cooked well. Since the base is quite thick, the rotis or parathas do not get burnt. It is a great buy, especially for those who love to cook big parathas.
