Tava are widely used to cook roti (flat breads) phulka (puffed unleavened bread) and paratha (layered unleavened breads) - all staple foods in India. Tava can also well cook cutlets eggs pancakes French toasts griddle cakes and the like. Futura Hard Anodised Tava are particularly preferred for their heavy gauge and well-balanced pans that make cooking easy and the results are delicious. The stainless steel handles are stay-cool and comfortable. The Hard Anodised finish on these pots will stay looking new for years. The body/base of the Tava is 4.88 mm thick. Permanently attached to the base is a plate of AISI 430 grade magnetic stainless steel which makes the Tava Induction Compatible. The Tava is suitable for domestic induction electric ceramic and halogen cooktops.

Hawkins Futura hard anodised 24" roti tawa with induction base. This is the best purchase I made so far. This roti tawa has made my life so easy in terms of cooking rotis or parathas. It is lightweight compared to my cast iron tawa. It is very easy to clean. Just allow the tawa to cool down completely before washing. I have made regular wholewheat phulkas, parathas, jowar and rice rotis with lot of ease on this tawa. Just make sure that the tawa is heated properly on low-medium heat before starting to make any type of rotis. Once heated properly, it retains the heat uniformly throughout till the last roti is made. All I do is keep the heat low - medium. It's a long term investment for those who love freshly cooked rotis.
