Advantages
Nice and heavy. Even thickness. Does take a few days to get to 'non stick' level. But if you have a little experience with cast iron you can easily get used to the heaviness and maintain it well. Looking forward to the heirloom promise being kept. Surprisingly no invoice was attached..

Advantages
I have been using this for the last 2 months now and its every penny worth it. Thanks to the company for its machined finish quality products, superb packaging and ensured the product is safe. And thanks to Amazon for the on time delivery. I don't know about other comments where they say about smell and corrosion, but I haven't had any such issues with mine. "All well if you take care of it well"

Advantages
This is a good dosa tawa, sturdy, strong, and with a high finish quality. Before purchasing I went through the reviews of this product and wasn't sure if I'd get good dosas but i took the plunge and here are my learnings (after a lot of research!) Heres how you make good dosas in 10 steps using a cast iron (watch the attached video): 1. Ensure the tawa is seasoned well as per manufacturer's detailed instructions. 2. Ensure you are patient (This is the most critical!) 3. Ensure to preheat the tawa on low-medium heat. DO NOT speed up the process by pre-heating on high flame. Slow heating helps the tawa retain an even heat that is essential for good bronzing of the dosa. 4. Ensure the dosa batter is at or near room temperature. 5. Check the tawa is properly preheating by lightly spraying water. It must not evaporate immediately but sizzle a bit. If too hot, spray some water to cool down. 5. Pour the batter onto lightly oiled tawa (you can completely cut out the oil if you so desire, once the tawa is seasoned really well after many times of use) 5. Now wait. Sing a song if you like, because of the low-medium heating this is going to take time. Kitchens are good places to practice singing (because of all the tiling, they're almost as good as bathroom for this purpose!) 6. Once you see the underside of the doas browing, slowly test only the edges of the dosa, to see if it is ready to flip. (As the dosa batter heats up, the pores on the iron slowly start expanding and closing up because of the heat and when properly closed will be ready to release the dosa like a non-stick. 7. The above point is THE MOST IMPORTANT and where i think most people fail. Apply too much force to try and release the dosa and inevitably the dosa will get stuck and you will need to scrape it off. 8. When the edges release with minimal force, try and slowly lift the rest of the dosa. If you encounter too much resistance, give it more time (Remember point 2!) 9. When properly done, flip the dosa (if you so desire) or take off from pan 10. Enjoy! Note: Use as much or as little oil as you like. Using a spatula (like in the video) helps to reduce the amount of oil you would normally pour onto the dosa. However, more than oiling, understainding how the pores work is essential to enjoy the non-stick properties of the tawa and to ensure paper-crisp dosas!

10 steps to get paper-crisp dosas from this tawa

Good, thick iron tawa. Uniform heating. Makes great dosas. Only overheating should be avoided by sprinkling water on it , to cool the tawa.

Advantages
The tawa's built quality and finish is very good... Not some time i expected... It's similar to the Lodge cast iron pan i use... And that costs 3 times more than this.. just follow their instructions to season and fry an onion in the pan with little bit of oil.... The first dosa will stick a little...but take it off add water and remove the crusts...apply oil using onion and the next dosa will be super . Very happy with heat distribution as we need to maintain gas at mid heat.. Will recommend to anyone...last tip never wash it after use , wash it without soap just before the next use and add oil...

After lots of research I decided to buy this one over meyer one but not really happy.... There r few points why I m not completely satisfied 1. Firstly I followed all the steps given in the instructions manual and seasoned it again 2. I made sure my batter is well fermented and is at room temperature 3.made 1st dosa which came out quite easily with lil bit of efforts... I was lil happy that i made a great choice and buy this over meyer one 4.then next all dosas were not coming properly and i needed to do quite hard effort to get them out from the tawa.... Also I could see the centre portion was of lil different colored looking and tawa was not heated well in the outer area 5 then all the dosas were not coming properly and it was getting burntef from the centre 6.still trying all kind of efforts to reseason it and make it work

Anything good needs some effort to upkeep, like a silk saree. It produces great evenly cooked dosas cooked on medium flame. However, cast iron needs some upkeep as per the product guide, advantages over non stick is, healthy as teflon is harmful in high flame, no hassle of scratching the teflon as no coating. To get the dosas right, make sure to season the pan with oil and rub some onions till it Brown's and thin oil coating is formed on the pan, and the batter should not be spread very thin, use ample oil in frying the dosa, and you will get a hang of it. Maintain it as per the instructions, those who did not, ended up with rust layers for sure. 18-May 22 2nd purchase was a dito forgery or dynamic went down on quality, hope company notes this as it is spoiling their existing name. Wt of 1st order is 3.1kg, where's the 2nd recent order wt was 2.6kg, thickness less, no cocentric finishing, did not come in dynamic'c branded box and stickering . Beware and initiate return, so that company and Amazon can note there is something wrong
