We use it for cooking sambar and veg fry. The best part is the 2 grip handles on either sides. How much ever hot the vessel is the grips are not that hot. That makes it easy to handle the vessel while cooking and also pick up and placing on the dining table. The lid fits the vessel perfectly and i think its apt for cooking small quantity dum biriyani.. need to try it though.

I wanted to replace my non stick and anodized casseroles with sturdy steel one. This does the job very well. It is sturdy with thick bottom. You can stir fry on minimum oil without food sticking much to the bottom. Use low flame though. Food cooks well. Vinod is a well known kitchen brands providing quality products at competitive prices.
