We were using the aluminium version of Prestige cooker for many years.The decision to switch over to Stainless steel version is based on health related thoughts. Steel is much much better than Aluminium. Please google to know more.Added advantage here is that few things can be cooked directly without any additional vessels. So, the capacity is fully utilized.The svachh version is a nice innovative design to ensure that spill over doesn't affect the stove to a large extent. So, very good with respect to cleaning & maintenance.

For a 8Ltr cooker this isn’t that huge and heavy, wisely sized and comes with all the secondary safety features to like the excess pressure lid. All in all really a great product

The best part i liked was that, it can be used both in the gas stove and induction stove. Easy to clean.. the svachh lid makes less mess... The only constraint is that it is too heavy to lift especially while washing.. the lid is also too heavy.. since it functions perfectly, we can neglect these smaller issues. Go for it...

I was wrong, the difference is night and day between our old 25+ year old Prestige and this new one I picked up. Weight, safety valve etc everything has been redesigned, even the lid has been made deeper so it doesn't jam on a vessel lid when you pack it to the top with rice, dal, vegetables etc.
