Each pressure cooker made by Hawkins features an inside fitting lid. This design is inherently safer than conventional pressure cookers. To open any Hawkins cooker, you have to first lower the lid slightly into the body of the cooker; and that cannot be done until the steam pressure inside the cooker falls to a safe level. Thus Hawkins pressure cookers are pressure-locked for safety - like a jetliner door!

This design is not easy to use specially during cleaning, the rim of the pot prevents u to see the dirt on its inner side. This oval rim also prevents to take out utensils used inside it for steam cooking. The quality of the material and thickness is good except this oval opening which is really useless.

It's good Go for it! All food cooked are tasty without any excessive cook. Can be used for preparing variety of food like rice, lantin , rajma, pulao, biryani, egg , pop corn. If you operate on high flame with sufficient water inside then no chance of spoiling the food. Pressure cooker looks sturdy, compact and ergonomically beautiful. I give good rating because this company is good and follow six Sigma quality standards. Overall rating good , but price should be less. Thanks ??
