Each pressure cooker made by Hawkins features an inside fitting lid. This design is inherently safer than conventional pressure cookers. To open any Hawkins cooker, you have to first lower the lid slightly into the body of the cooker; and that cannot be done until the steam pressure inside the cooker falls to a safe level. Thus Hawkins pressure cookers are pressure-locked for safety - like a jetliner door!

Ordered on Saturday and received on Monday. Fast delivery then expected. Package is fine. Coming to Product: Product finishing is good. Easy to handle. Easy to use. Cooked some vegetables on the first day on induction. NO LEAKAGES. NO EXTRA TIME(I though Heavy base would take more time to cook). After some time it got finished, we taken out and vegetables were cooked nicely. Warranty: I saw a notice in the package, we need to post the Warranty card to the Hawkins Office within 15 days of delivery. Din't get clear info about it yet. When I found something about it. I'll give details on Warranty.

Pros: 1. Product Quality is good 2. As mentioned in the product description, It has a heavy base Cons: 1. I have used 5L hawking pressure in past. When I compare this pressure cooker with the previous one it seems smaller. People may say 5L is 5L how can you find it smaller but I do 2. No extra rubber gasket. Earlier we used to get two rubber gasket which is missing in this model so you get only one.

Quality as per the brand promises but it was a grave mistake by the responsible authority that they forgot to supply the GASKET alongwith the delivered product. Otherwise good.
