Each pressure cooker made by Hawkins features an inside fitting lid. This design is inherently safer than conventional pressure cookers. To open any Hawkins cooker, you have to first lower the lid slightly into the body of the cooker; and that cannot be done until the steam pressure inside the cooker falls to a safe level. Thus Hawkins pressure cookers are pressure-locked for safety - like a jetliner door!

Most 3rd class product, when I am buying a product from retail market it lasts for life long but when the same product bought from Silkrute it last only 1 year or so. My guess that Silkrute only sales 3rd quality category product in their product list. I recommend never buy any kind of this product from Silkrute further.

Brand Hawkins not justified... Used very cheap quality of items.... I am reviewing after Nine months use... It's handle fitting is not good.... Not a spill proof pressure cooker... Very messy at all.... I have trust on brand.... But now I feel like cheated with this type product...

Material is good. But no sharp whistle is a problem. Bit difficult to determine when to off the gas. At the same time, can't over emphasize the importance of steel cookers over aluminium ones which are proven neurotoxins.
