Each pressure cooker made by Hawkins features an inside fitting lid. This design is inherently safer than conventional pressure cookers. To open any Hawkins cooker, you have to first lower the lid slightly into the body of the cooker; and that cannot be done until the steam pressure inside the cooker falls to a safe level. Thus Hawkins pressure cookers are pressure-locked for safety - like a jetliner door!

Beautiful product. Works efficiently. Saves fuel upto 50%. The only drawback is there should have been support on the opposite sides of the handle so that it can be handled easily while hot.

This 3 Lit Futura pressure cooker is a fantastic product. Efficient fast and so easy to use. It cooks well on slow flame simmer saving gas and it is so easy to clean because of its finish. It is relatively quiet and it is such a relief from the perpetually whistling conventional cookers. I docked it one star because I miss a small grab handle on the other side of the main handle which would make it easy to handle a full cooker when hot. The size is ideal for 3 persons for normal daily cooking. It is pricey but worth it. I just wish it came with an over-box over the original colored box of the cooker. It arrived safe but the box was ruined in shipping and certainly could not have been given as a gift if needed. It would have been really nice to be able to open a fresh box with this priceless cooker.

Well, I had been thinking of writing a review on this product since long.First while you see the product it looks fab, with all the detailing and it’s rich look.Now comes the issue with the usuage of this product.With every whistle it throws out water, let it be if your cooking rice or vegetables, it throws out so water much that the entire kitchen area is all messed up.Also it looks like this issue persists with almost allCleaning wise, it’s good, for the large base it’s easy to clean.Since I couldn’t return the product as by the time I started using this product, the return window was expired.Hence using this product only for cooking rice, and I make sure to switch off the cooker before the whistle, that way there’s no mess in the kitchen.Definitely not worth the price

awesomeeee cooker... no need to count the whistles nd no need to remember.. steam will come after the food is properly cooked. Nd cooks in half the time compared to normal pressure cooker. Go for it if u want perfect food evryrime u cook

Too heavy to handle even without the contents added to it but still it satisfies the pleasure of premium pressure cooking in all ways. Manual and cook book become very handy initially.
