Each pressure cooker made by Hawkins features an inside fitting lid. This design is inherently safer than conventional pressure cookers. To open any Hawkins cooker, you have to first lower the lid slightly into the body of the cooker; and that cannot be done until the steam pressure inside the cooker falls to a safe level. Thus Hawkins pressure cookers are pressure-locked for safety - like a jetliner door!

It's the same actual product shown in the picture with all sub- parts.. except the 'Hawkins' sticker on the cooker is sticker. The cooker is thick enough and good. Easy to lock and unlock. It's completely safe . It comes with book which has all the instructions needed. Only thing is the coating in and out is delicate so,have to use carefully without harsh handling.. Overall it's a good quality and 100% foodgrade product.. If think of buying it go for it instantly..
