Just got order today from the seller. It's definitely a new piece with shiny steel. Also, It has a very smooth base so not sure how compatible it is with induction but it's a day one. I have given this cooker to my mom for her birthday and delivery happened before time. Thanks. Stay tuned for update once we start using it.It's a bit towards bulky end. So make sure you know if the user can handle it (if it's a senior citizen)

Its amazing quality, over the period of time Butterfly has maintained their quality standards. Good Guage and thickness is still seen today, these qualities will make this product last longer. However disappointed with the delivery of the product as the lid handle is broken, looks like its a common issue and others have complained the same.
