This is a convenient size, but be careful if you saute on high flame - because of the small size (low walls) heated oil may catch fire and become an unplanned flambe. I prefer anodized over non-stick cookware.It is important that food is not cooked on high flame in a non-stick vessel. The non-stick surface cannot withstand the heat from high flame and tends to corrode into the food. This is neither good for health nor for the longevity of vessel. Non-stick vessels, I think, are not practical - use it only if you are patient enough to cook on low flame at all times, high flame would damage the non-stick coating and worse, seep into the food cooked. The lure of low oil cooking in non-stick vessels may actually cause a bigger threat to health with the non-stick layer seeping into food.

I have purchased it for deep frying as nonstick cookware are not safe for this purpose. Karahi is small in size and round based.So I need to hold it from one handle for safe frying.Good quality and I hope it will stay new forever. I can fry French fries in very less oil due to its round base.But it can not be used on very high flame as it has wooden handles.Over all , a good purchase from Amazon. Thanks Amazon

Size/Volume:Many earlier buyers say the volume of the kadai is good for 2-3.I would say it is sufficient for a family of 4.Build Quality:Good.Useful in making puris or any item requiring more volume of oil.Cleaning:After the use, once the vessel is left to cool down.Once it is cooled down, fill it with water for 5-10 minutes. It can be washed with little effort.Verdict: Go for it.

I had the bigger size. Wanted to buy smaller one to cook baby food and halwa everyday. Order the one with lids but vendor kept sending me the one with the stainless steel lid. Eventually received what I ordered. Nice light kadai for cooking small amount for. Could be used as deep frying pan

Satisfied with the purchase.Writing this review after having used it for a few months. Its a hard anodised pan which is not the same as non stick.The non-stick property is better than aluminum utensils but not comparable to a non stick pan. It should not be used at high flame. It seems durable and is easy to clean.

Good enough to cook food for 2-3 adults. It's sturdy and food doesn't burn easily. I liked this product a whole lot but gave it only 4 stars because there were "popping" noises when I used the glass lid. I was sure at one point that the glass would crack. Eventually the lid stopped being a snug fit.

The product is very good, no doubt. But :1. It is clearly small. You can make sabzi only for 2 adults. Rarely 3. In our general cuisine, we use such pots that after putting Sabzi for 2-3 people there must remain space for gravey & still upper space remains vacant for air & food expanding.2. Also you will feel like the glass lid is heavier than the Kadahi itself (however not true, you will only feel).3. The roundness of Kadahi makes it unstable when you put it on the floor, it rotates more than the big round kadahis.

Like other Hawkin products, it is slightly expensive but of good quality. Bigger than what appears in the photo. Lid is correct size an fits well, but heavy. Being anodized (not non-stick) needs oil. Metal spoons can be used. Cleans well if we do it immediately. The bottom curvature is good so we can cook food in small quantities also. Overall a good product.

It looks very classy and sturdy too, the size 22cm is good when cooking for two. Should be considered small for a family of four. However, for frying stuff its awesome as it would require less oil, the base is deep and very confined hence less wastage of used oil. Overall a nice product. P.S it comes with a recipe book and the kadhai. No spatula no lid!
