After getting fed up with the non stick pans that I bought and that kept going bad decided to buy the pan. Added to it the fact that steel is good to cook. Really loved it and thats when decided to buy this kadai too. Although seems a little expensive at first in the long run instead of buying and discarding multiple regular coated non stick cookware it’s better to invest in a sturdy long lasting one. Really happy with both.

Disadvantages
We use several Bergner products and are very happy with their products in terms of quality, finish and price. However, for this product we are shocked to find that the Teflon coating is peeling/flaking off in little hexagons which poses a very serious health issue in case the Teflon gets mixed with the food being cooked. This is the situation in spite of very good care taken by us in usage and cleaning. We use only silicone spatula and low temeperature for cooking to avoid even small Teflon contamination in the food. Much cheaper Teflon coated products have served us better in the past than this Bergner product. It is also not clear if Bergner offers any replacement under product warranty. Our product is about 2 years old.
