We needed steamer for a while for a house use. This is the best choice. Only less 1 star as the joins are bit screwed. As it doesn't harm the performance hence kept the product.

Hi , I am using this product for 2 weeks now - Pros - It does the work it is meant for Cons - There are 3 side supports which makes it difficult to balance it while lifting it . 2 support would have worked better Since we need to use side bars to keep the tray inside and take it outside of kadhayi - It results into minor steam burns everytime tray is placed or taken out . Iron in the lid which holds the knob is already rusted and everytime I make idly the rust fell on the centre (Top of idli). I believe minor corrections to the design will help to make this product perfect.

This Product is of very bad quality. Its bottom which is metal part came out while cooking. This could be very dangerous. I would strongly recommend don't buy this item. I contacted Silkrute CS twice but they didn't listen.

The sheet is very thin compared to its use. We use it on glass cook top and it dances due to heat and its thin metal sheet. Not a good thig to have. I will not recommend.

Very light weight Kadai - Difficult to maintain and use

First off i should have checked dimensions beforehand.. this looks rather large for my cooking range, making it difficult to use other burners while this is in use; Whoever came up with the idea of '3' handles for the 5 plates.. well.. i'm not seeing what they had in mind. I find it impossible to use more than 1 handle and end up almost burning my hands or trying to use 2 and tipping the third side inside.. causing idli to get wet from the water underneath for steam. Not practical - or maybe I need to learn how to - certtainly not intuitive or easy as two handles; Also, the handles are joined in a cheap fashion - i see rust even at purchase, without any use, have to clean off rust - which is kind of disappointing. Most joint parts over time may get rust and I generally throw off the items at that point but if a new purchaed unit has rust - sucks. I should have also searched for non-stick as this is so difficult to clean after just one use. Too much money for something I dont see using due to the disadvantages - and so may not recommend to someone like me.

The product is reasonably good, but the design of plates is faulty and needs to be changed. Each plate has three hooks cum stands. The problem is that no one has three hands. So while handling plates, when you lift it by any two hooks, it tilts on one side. More over, since they are very close to the edge of the plates, fingers invariably touch the hot outer vessel while lifting plates.. Having four hooks on each plate, and shifting them inwards will solve the problem. One additional hook is not going to cost much to the Company, but will improve customer experience.
