Advantages

Nice pan, heavy and distributes heat quickly. It will save gas in the long run as one needs to keep gas a notch or two lower than what a regular pan requires. If you keep the heat at same level food burns easily. But this is not a drawback as it saves energy, just need to adjust the habit of cooking at lower temperatures. Overall a very good product and I have bought the karahi as well, which is also fantastic.

Quality is good but not set for frys . Bottom got sticking if we do fry like potato. Quality wise also we can only do 500grm or 750 grams hardly in this pan. So for less quantity curries it will suits

I didn't use till now so I can't say anything about heat distribution, cleaning and sturdiness but as it is hawkins i can assume everything will be good except handle. But I want to return this because handle is coated obviously but hawkins is not written overthere and coating portion is not riveted it looks like attached with the help of strong glue but in future coating portion will remove for sure. Till now I have used so many utensils of hawkins but here i didn't found, hawkins name should be there in coated portion of the handle.

I almost sent this back. Though I'd always wanted a pan with a good wooden handle, I suddenly had doubts after seeing the Rosewood handle on this pan. Perhaps it was a little too fancy to survive daily use. But I've been using it for a week or so, and it handles beautifully. It looks great, and the steel is of high quality. An all-around well-made product.

Received it today. The build and non-stick quality is excellent and was evident while taking out the label stuck in the inside of the pan with glue and has good heat distribution, is sturdy, heavy and easy to clean and handle.It's far better than any brand and even better than the 5 ply pan of VINOD.It can be equivalent or better in some ways as compared to Cast Iron pans or skillets.The only thing requiring attention is that it shouldn't be put on high flame or should be dry or empty heated. Follow the instructions in the booklet accompanying it.Definitely a must have.
