Advantages
Every kitchen needs a small pan to rustle up a quick omelette or pancake without wasting heat on a large pan. Also, all the bad news about Teflon coatings and their toxic leaching into food means I am eliminating it from my kitchen. Hard anodised and ceramic coatings are the way to go. Thus pan doesn't use much fat (I brushed a thin film of oil for an omelette and it worked perfectly), heats quickly and a reasonably heavy bottom retains the heat even after you turn the gas flame down. Looks rather good too.

Reasonably non sticky and a great size for small, quick jobs

Advantages
I am satisfied with the quality of the product and no qualms at all.It definitely is not a replacement of non-stick cookware as I had veguely thought. However, I wanted to do away with the risk of using non-stick cookware and hence moved onto this. Given a choice, I recommend using steel vessel over hard anodised. You have to cook at the lowest flame as a mandate and ensure that the vessel is oiled enough so that the food doesnt stick. If you cook at high flame the food gets stuck to the vessel and its a daunting task to scrub it off. However, not as daunting as cleaning up a steel vessel.I would recommend this vessel over usual steel utensils only if you want to save gas. Food cooks slightly faster and more uniformly than steel utensils. Otherwise I don't see a strong reason to purchase this vessel.
