This particular model or piece did not retain the heat. I returned. Last year i purchased "Milton Royal 3 Insulated Steel Box, 1.8 l" which is still good and using.

Finishing is not good. The steel stand which contains three boxes are left with sharp corners at the bottom. On the top cover some scratches are available.Finishing is not so good. Packing is also very ordinary. No warranty card or user manual inside the box. I thought Milton is a good company but by looking at the finishing it seems to be a roadside container. Im not happy with the purchase

I ordered it 2 years back and still its the favorite Tiffin Box, for 3 hrs food remains same as packed ... but still its capable to retain heat the food.

The product quality is good. Rather the best. Only I found the silicon cap for air vent will get off in long run. I tested with only 1 container with hot water. Though it gradually reduced after 8hrs, but remained warm. Serves the purpose. But the only issue is its BULKY WITH OUTER CASE.

Finishing of plastic attachment (side release buckle clips) of the carry cord could be better. Few sharp edges are protruding out of it. Carry cord could also be of better quality.At the top of the Milton box there are 3 flaps : 1 big and 2 small. And there are 4 flaps at the bottom of the box. Milton brand adhesive tape which has been applied at the top flap of the box is intact. But the tape applied at the bottom flaps joins only 2 of those 4 flaps. Also, the tape is twisted and poorly applied which means (1) either it has been applied in a haphazard manner or (2) someone opened the box from the bottom and then reapplied the tape in a rough manner.As you know a cube / cuboid has 12 edges, 8 corners (vertices) and 6 faces. The Milton box is of cuboid shape. There is a compression (dent) in one of the 8 corners of the box (in one of the lower 4 corners). This means the box wasn't handled with care in transport or storage. It is a minor damage though. Overall the final product looks all right.
