The actual boxes are smallish and round but perfect for my purpose. The outer cover is really like a sturdy box, and has a flat, rectangular shape that's easy to slip into my laptop bag. Have found it to be leak proof so far but I largely carry dry stuff anyway.

It's not at all leak proof. The lid gets kind of sticky, for no apparent reason. The food does not stay warm. Wouldn't recommend to buy!
