The Bottle has matte black finish, not glossy finish as shown in the product images.The body is strong enough, you cannot make dents on it just by pressing with your fingers, the paint look really good but, can't say how long it will last.. as metal do pickup scratches really quick. The bottle cap/ lid is made of plastic and has a rubber gasket/ring around the lip for better seal. It does hold water in real tight, no leaks... The carabiner clip on the cap is strong enough to hold the weight of fully filled bottle. Advantages

It definitely is a good steel bottle but the color goes after a few uses. It is painted black and it starts becoming patchy after few uses and cannot be used until the it completely becomes steel.
