The water stored in this particular flask I bought does NOT retain heat for more than two hours.On filling hot water(85-90 degrees), I find the external body also gets hot.

The flask was received in broken condition. The inner glass layer is completely shattered. Either damaged flask was shipped from seller or the flask was damaged in transit. Fine glittery powder was present even on the flask cap/cover. It is risky to open the flask when there is powered glass on the outer layer.Very surprised to receive a heavily damaged product. Glass shards/powder are risky to handle. The inner glass may have been shattered by some strong impact or mishandling at source/transit. But the presence of so much glass powder makes me think, the product was damaged long before, and perhaps not a recent damage??
