The metal cap is pasted on top of a plastic cap. Hence if u keep in fridge due the different thermal expansion the metal one get detached from plastic one.

This product was purchased by me after doing a fair amount of research and favorable reviews in the Silkrute website. However within the first week the product started showing brown rust like spots inside the bottle. There is also a strong stench to the stored water. The stored water is turning into brown color with putrid stench. Unfortunately I purchased a lot of 3 bottles thinking the brand name of "Cello". I have never been more dissatisfied with another Silkrute product like this till date. Do yourself a favor and avoid it like plague. Already contacted Silkrute for return but the same has been declined.
