After being very impressed by my Pink Woolf Sandalwood and Oudh Luxury shaving cream, I decided to give the "Oceanic Blue" variant a shot. My experience was extremely negative to say the least. The scent is no better than a medical bruise ointment, whatever the ingredients are, they are extremely harsh on the skin and the burning sensation is beyond unacceptable. The lather is excellent no doubt but the quantity of soap they give is laughable. Overall, Pink Wolf's Sandalwood shaving cream is on another level. This Oceanic Blue version is nothing butter trash, it's gonna go straight in the bin. I used my Rex Ambassador and Astra Platinum blades for the shave with a Razor Emporium Super Badger brush. All extremely high-quality products dulled by the harsh and burning soap. Don't buy!

The product was received a day earlier. Thanks to Amazon as always. The seller sent a sample of the shaving cream and a hand written note. Great gesture and speaks about the commitment and passion of the seller. Coming to the product itself; having used the Oudh and sandal soap earlier, I was really curious to lay my hands on this new offering from Pink Woolf. And dare I say they have surpassed my expectations. The scent of the Soap is very refreshing and mild. The lather is rich and it stays for a long time. This leads to a very smooth shaving experience. Further, I didn't feel any itching or burning sensation after the shave. The face felt adequately moisturised. Thanks Team Pink Woolf for an excellent product.

Advantages

Had high expectations from this. But the lather lacks slickness. Only positive is the fragrance which I really like, but it was on the milder side as well. The slickness and performance of zerotox is better than this. The size of pinkwoolf is also small, bigger diameter would help in loading bigger brushes easily. Given the ordinary lather quality, I think paying 5x for this compared to zerotox soap is not warranted. Even godrej soap has richer and slickly lather at 1/25 price, only lacks bit of moisturizing abilities. Of course, this is personal observation from using this soap over a week. Ymmv. But sticking to creams would be better option than this soap.

I have been using shaving gels and foams for past 25 years and decided to go the old school way using a shaving soap and brush. The scent is OK and mild - as I was trying for the first time didn't have much expectation. It takes a while to generate lather compared to few others I have tried. You need a good beaver hair or synthentic beaver hair brush to generate lather (avoid cheap nylon ones as they wont lather up). Use a bowl, lathering directly on the face didnt work . The soap is medium hard and does not come off as a paste which is good as it helps you draw just the right amount for a shave. On application I found that it dries off quickly, tried adding water and it became runny. I am used to a moderately thin coat of lather and ended up applying again after having shaved 1 side. Leaves a soft feel after shaving. I reserve 1 STAR for the ease of generating lather, otherwise a good product and I see it will last a while.

Right from the size , the packaging and the aroma, this is probably the best shaving soap Ive ever used. I feel so proud that its an Indian Artisanal work which is infact much better than the renowned Big names such as Proraso , Pennhaligon etc. The lather is promptly generated with superlatively buttery smooth feel on the face which leaves you thanking the heavens. Given the scent, this is a perfect balance of superior notes with the perfect dash of sophistication. Keep up the great work and as always, looking forward for more such delightfully fragrant shaving soap which indeed make the art of shaving a regimen, rather than just a chore in the morning

I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of the product. The smooth feel which I got while shaving was so much different from any other previous experiences. The fragrance is unique and I can still smell it after about an hour of shaving. After shave feel too is wonderful, skin is not itching nor do I feel like putting any lotion as I used to feel with the earlier products. I did a little research about the product and the company, and found it to be a recent start up. My only concern is if they will maintain the quality, hopefully they will. A big thumps up to the product.

This was my first time shaving so I don't have a line to compare it against but it works real well however you have to use a mug to lather it. It gets real messy in the tin itself plus Subodh, the owner of pink wolf gave me a complimentary aftershave which was brilliant
