it does NOT colour the hair at all. The powder looks like henna powder. It just gets washed away in the very first wash when you wash your hair to remove the paste that is applied to the hair. All the blue colour just gets washed away leaving NO trace of any colour on your hair.Please note that I followed the all the instructions and did not use any shampoo. I just used water to remove this "indigo" paste from my hair. It turns in to dirty blue water and does NOT give any colour to the hair.

Very disappointed with this. I bought it for coloring hair along with henna. I tried this thrice and could not get any color at all. First time, I tried by soaking henna overnight and then mixing indigo at the time of application. I did not get any color and it was a wasted effort of 3 hours. Disappointed, I tried separate application the next time. This time, I first applied overnight soaked henna which gave a reddish tinge to my color (so henna was not the problem). Next, I mixed indigo with water and applied over freshly rinsed henna hairs. I applied for couple of hours and when I washed, I saw no effect of indigo at all. The hair remained reddish.In one last attempt, I again mixed overnight henna with fresh indigo and applied to my hair. Even after 3 hours, no coloration on hair.I can say that I have easily wasted 8-9 hours on this Indigo. I dont know if I am doing something wrong or is it just this Indigo. I am now going to try some other brand. Pretty frustrating.
