Grittier than other turmeric I have bought. Flavor is strong, but slightly different from the organic turmeric I had on hand, and grittier making it easier to pour out without clumping (silicates?). Very good price - about a third per once of the smaller containers from grocery stores. I use turmeric an almost everything for it's therapeutic effects. I add it to soups, sauces and sprinkle on meats prior to grilling.The health benefits of Turmeric are well known, especially its cancer protection. The powder jar allows you to use it as a spice with most foods you cook. I use it with eggs, soups, and even in home baked bread. It tastes good, makes foods look good and is very good for you.

I am from Kerala, the spice capital of India and hence know how pure organic turmeric looks, feels and smells like. I ordered this pack with a lot of scepticism, wondering about its authenticity, as I wanted to use it for a very specific skin infection. After using it for a week, I can safely assume that this is a genuine product. The infection is waning off and I can see very good results. Unless this is a genuine product, that would not have happened. Earlier I tried other products which aggravated the condition and lead to tremendous itching and burning due to skin peeling. Very happy with this product. Will surely order more when the need arises.
