Sendha Namak o known as Rock Salt usually occurs within sedimentary rocks formed by the evaporation of seawater or salty lake water. Rock salt is considered to be the purest form of all salts and holds much significance in Ayurveda. It is the only salt consumed during Navratri fasting.
