Advantages

I love cooking with ghost peppers and have tried a lot of different brands and varieties from oven dried, fire roadted, smoked, etc. This is definitely a huge cannister of powder for a really good price. Sadly it is way too smoked for me. It doesn't matter what i use it in, even the tiniest amount (like the residual powder that falls off the spoon tiny) everything is overpowered. It makes everything taste like mesquite style food. A bit too much and my food tastes like it has dirt on it. For some people it would be great but not for me. Too powerfully smoked and definietly can't be used in any indian food. Unless its tex-mex its a no go for me.

Not as hot as other ghost pepper powder I've had. I put it on everything, from eggs to tacos, from asparagus to hamburgers. Its decent.

We have used this powder for soups, sauces, stews, and sometimes directly as a garnish to replace black pepper. It is certainly very spicy, as what else would one expect from ghost peppers, but it's not the hottest powder around, so people who have not reached inferno status in their tastes should still be able to enjoy this.Do not use too much, as the flavour can dominate a dish quickly, so if you want to keep any of the dish's original flavours, be conservative with this powder.

I bought this, not to flavor food, but to keep raccoons, etc, out of my potted plants on my deck. It works, this stuff is sooooo hot, I start sneezing as soon as I open the lid. Even my cat won't go near it, so it's great for putting under the bird feeder to keep him away. Seriously, this stuff packs heat, major, supper heat, use with caution.
