It was perfect!! I've had authentic kimchi before, and I've made it multiple times too. And THIS was just perfect. Especially for those who like heavily fermented kimchi * CHEFS KISS * though I'd recommend checking how long it takes to deliver. Cause if it's same day or one day, it usually means lesser risk of going bad? I think? Anyway the packaging was superb (with ice packs) and honestly, for the quality they gave, it's pretty decent price. Definitely ordering again.

I am not much of a review person but for this, i just hAd to leave a review. I havent had kimchi before, (but loved the idea of it) so i was a little apprehensive while buying this but I couldn't have been more glad I did. The packaging was great and there were no leaks. It said to open over a sink and i did, but nothing erupted coz i opened it very slowly. Asa i opened it, the smell that wafted was beautiful! Not at all pungent. It smelled amazing. And it tastes even better!! The cabbage is crunchy and well fermented. The taste is a little more sour than i thought(mind you I've never had kimchi before) but it just goes so prefectly well. I just wish it were a little more spicy. That's all. But otherwise, a good buy. Def gonna buy more. Highly recommended to atleast give it a try Once.

The kimchi tastes amazing! It's very flavourful and I have to literally stop myself from devouring it all in one go. However, the packaging could have been better. They need to find a way to not let the liquid come out of the packaging. There package had ants coming out too. But thankfully nothing happened to the actual kimchi.

I was happy to receive the package from Silkrute on time. The packing was very well done....But the kimchi i received was not that good it was too sour in taste... the spice was of medium level which was good.... this was my first time trying this product...The product tasted very sour and i felt like it was spoilt a bit...

I did not like this kimchi at all as it had a rotten smell to it and tasted as if it had gone sour, so i had to throw the whole jar out. The packaging was really bad too as jar was already leaking when it arrived.Currently there are not any sellers of kimchi in India , so I can't make any comparisons but i am not going to buy this again. In my opinion home made pickle is better option then kimchi for indians as pickle provides the same health benefits as kimchi does and is easily available in indian market with affordable prices and with lots of variety.

Urban platter is too expensive, I mean it's not worth buying it. I've had kimchi actually better kimchi that too for far too cheaper prices. Spend your 500 bucks somewhere else, you're missing out on nothing, better yet make it at home

As similar to kimchi I've eaten abroad, is what's delivered at your doorstep. They could do a much better job with the presentation though since it's not an airtight lid which accompanies the bottle. The liquid present in the bottle generally leaks since I've ordered the same batch a few times. With repeated requests by other customers & myself, the presentation and packaging has not changed, so that's clearly a let down. Apart from that, the taste and contents are mouthwatering and I would definitely recommend a try out if you're craving for some kimchi as a snack or as an accompaniment with your meal.
