I bought this thinking it is genuine organic cold pressed coconut oil. I have been using nirmal cold pressed coconut oil earlier which smells a lot more authentic.I was not happy with the smell or flavour. The product was sealed yet I have this feeling it has been adulterated.Also the sticker on it looks duplicate.I am not going to repurchase this from Silkrute.

Advantages

Have been using this brand for sometime and found it very good especially for dryness of skin. It is good for the hair as well. I only wish the mouth of the bottle were wider as it becomes difficult to take it out especially in winter.

Organic Coconut Oil

Everything is just right about this coconut oil. Used it in cooking and external application including oil pulling off teeth (see youtube). But come winter the oil solidifies :( and then its a task to squeeze the oil out unless you go thru the process of heating the plastic bottle carefully in warm water. Big task! Wish it was in a wide mouthed jar. A spoon would have done the job.

I have tried a few brands offering "organic" coconut oil. I don't know how "organic" it really is. However, I watched it freeze at 24 °C, which is the meeting point for coconut oil.. so, I guess it's pure enough for external application at least.
