Just take a spoonful and first enjoy the smell (take your time doing it; everything else can wait). It is loaded with great flavor of olives, tastes slightly bitter, aromatic, awesomely tasty and it delivers a peppery/prickly kick back of the mouth when you taste it. Antioxidants in the oil is responsible for delivering that friendly kick. Just love it. It is a bit pricey, but if you compare the health benefits it offers then it is easily priceless. We use it extensively in Salads, Italian foods and just take 1 tablespoon in the morning and night for its health benefits: fights inflammation, protects heart and kidney health, elevates moods,drastically improves energy levels, great for people suffering from IBS/stomach disorder, good for vision and tons of cognitive benefits too. We can use EVOO for Indian cooking too other than deep frying. We tried it as a side dip during a Pizza party at our house and the pizza tasted yum (just add freshly crushed pepper powder) !! Good job Colavita and Silkrute. Excellent product in a glass bottle delivered safety and swiftly by Silkrute. And yes, I will buy it forever....

I like all the healthy aspects of this oil (like organic and cold pressed) but I like the taste of Borges extra virgin olive oil. Couldn't feel anything special in the taste of this oil. It is bland for me. Not even bitter.
