Desi Cow Ghee is known as the golden medicine of Ayurveda. It is sometimes referred to as ¬Åclarified butter¬, as all of the milk solids have been removed from it. GavyaMart Pure Bilona Desi Cow Ghee is form the method used in previous yugas, is to make curd from whole milk. Then churn it to separate makhan from it and then boil it to get Ghee. This is called whole milk ghee and it is the costliest but has all medicinal properties of Desi cowmilk. To manufacture 1 kg of such ghee, it takes approximate 35 liters of Desi cow milk. The only bi product is chaas (no milk is left as it is converted into curd). So this method is expensive.

Tried the Gavyamart A2 desi cow ghee for the first time. Having tried Gir cow ghee earlier, this was the first time I tried Kankrej breed cow ghee. The bottle came securely packed to ensure the glass bottle is intact. The texture of ghee is thick and rich. The fragrance of the ghee is not too strong. The smell and taste of the ghee is very good. Overall highly recommended for a good economically priced desi cow ghee.

I like the taste and quality. I used to order directly from the Gavyamart.com but I have to pay for 6 months at a time to get it cheaper. Now I have taken monthly subscription in amazon which is more comfortable. Using it for regular cooking, good replacement for cooking oil, or combined with olive pomace oil.

This is the first time that we have bought a ghee, after consuming which, we don't feel heavy or bloated or that we are too much. It feels very natural and only a small amount satiates. We have also noticed that we need to use a smaller quantity that other brands that we have tried to cook the same amount of food. The flavour is very subtle and satisfying. It does not crysralise after cooling and keeps its smooth texture. Even when it solidifies, we don't see heavily separated crystals which normally form when different kinds of fats have been mixed. The packing was fabulous and safe. It comes in a glass jar, so one can easily upcycle that. We sre definitely going to reorder. We are very happy
