I used this product to make aapams. The appams came out nice and fluffy. Directions for use -- I prepared it differently from the method described on the box. I put half a teaspoon of yeast into a little warm water (not hot water, which kills the yeast). To this I added a little bit of sugar and a pinch of rice flour. Within 5-10 minutes, the solution was full of bubbles. I poured this mixture into the appam mix and made the appams in an appachetty. I am giving this feedback for the benefit of other people so that they are informed about the product and its use.

The yeast came well packed in a cute cylindrical jar. Now coming to its contents. This is an excellent quality yeast powder from Urban Platter. Its granules are neither too small nor too big which helps them to quickly dissolve in hot water. Its apt for baking bread and pizza base. As I am new to baking bread at first I was reluctant for using it but I have to admit I got the bread dough perfect with the help of this yeast from the very first day. It's also important to store the yeast in the fridge after usage.
