bought 1kg thinking the Vitamins are natural but it's literally chemical.Cyanocobalamin means it's cynide that too made synthetically

Advantages

I bought the 1Kg packet and although it tastes just fine but I realised that they are selling the fortified nutritional yeast, which means that it has artificially added vitamins and minerals which are not good for health. They haven't even disclosed what are the vitamins and minerals they have fortified it with and what are the amounts which are natural. Usually, the artificial vitamins which are added are of poor form and quality. I would suggest that they start selling unfortified version also for health-conscious people.

Advantages

It is an excellent product, and nice to have been made available so. However, one star less for being lazy and not finding a way to keep the profitability while working out a lower cost (for customers). Hope this is rectified soon. :)

Advantages

Good quality stuff, great taste and flavour. I use this to supplement during my multi day fasting. Absorbability is high -- urine does not get as yellow as normal B complex tablets. This is the reason i switched from normal B complex tabs to Nutritional Yeast.

If you have switched to a vegan diet, then this is an essential. Gives you a nutty and cheesy taste. Makes an excellent vegan cheese sauce. The fortified version provides for your vitamin B12 requirements. Price is high in my opinion for the quantity.

Flavour is good, and nutritional yeast is rich in B Vitamins and protein for those who are deficient and/or vegan/vegetarian. My only qualm is that 100g is quite less for the price.

I wouldn't go as far to call it a substitute for cheese.Coz it's clearly not. It's a mildly flavoured cheesy powder that can be sprinkled over a sandwich, popcorn or fries.If you put it in a smoothie or soup the flavour is way too mild to be discernible. I tried it over pizza and pasta and certainly did enhance the flavour profile. However the pizza and pasta already had cheese in it. It's exorbitant for the quantity received. But it's still good quality nutritional yeast and would keep well on the shelf for atleast a year.
