Disadvantages
I am writing this review after consuming half of the container over period of 15 days. Pros: Tastes good when topped over omelette. Adds flavour to Palak, tomato and cabbage soup. Doesn’t not get clumpy..stays pretty dry though I live in humid weather. Cons: It is fortified and I don’t prefer fortified products (dont judge ...I bought it without reading the label!) For about a week I used just a teaspoon a day it felt alright and later I increased to 1 table spoon. On increasing the dose I found out that it is causing scratchy throat (Throat infection) on stopping it’s consumption my throats was alright. In addition, it caused stomach ache.

I finally went ahead and got myself the "vegan," alternative to cheese powder, only to be disappointed. It's not bad but the flavour is super subtle and you won't detect the flavour at all in dishes like Ramen or sandwiches unless you are using a couple of tablespoons at least.

I wouldn't go as far to call it a substitute for cheese.Coz it's clearly not. It's a mildly flavoured cheesy powder that can be sprinkled over a sandwich, popcorn or fries.If you put it in a smoothie or soup the flavour is way too mild to be discernible. I tried it over pizza and pasta and certainly did enhance the flavour profile. However the pizza and pasta already had cheese in it. It's exorbitant for the quantity received. But it's still good quality nutritional yeast and would keep well on the shelf for atleast a year.
