Finally I found Betty crocker cake mix that's made locally and not imported. I wonder since how long it's been available. Anyway, I saw this in ratnadeep and checked it online and placed an order on Silkrute right away. It arrived in a day, very well packaged and I set to work. All it needs is oil, water and eggs. Mix the ingredients with the cake mix and grease a baking dish, coat it lightly with flour ( I used atta because that's what I had on hand). Add the batter to the dish. Preheat the oven preferable before you start working with the cake mix. I used an OTG and it needs 10 minutes to preheat. And around 25 minutes for the cake to bake. I made chocolate ganache while the cake baked and poured it hot on the cake. Then I let it cool and refrigerated it. Just before serving, I grated a bar of frozen chocolate. It turned out awesome. We had it with a scoop of ice cream and that made it heavenly

It is PINK. Why is it PINK ? I wanted a YELLOW vanilla sponge. It tasted too sweet and unnatural to me. I could have just a few pieces then stopped. I added the right oil water and egg ingreduents YET...We had to chuck it all and bin it just trash it. Tasted SO ARTIFICIAL. The pink colour is a total put off . Eeeek. NEVER buying this flavour again. Total waste of hard earned money. I pray Betty Crocker's chocolate cake and brownie mix will be a better buy. Betty you need to be better. French Vanilla failed us.

Please go for it, i am not a pro at baking but still could do this soft delicious yummy cake in just no time & just 1 vessel also try the bakers whipping cream powder which was again quick just powder & cold water, truly satisfying

It's really easy to bake, if u r not a great baker try it for that great soft n spongy cake, I tried it n the cake came out really soft, one can easily make two layer cake from one box. Value of money, easy to cook, great taste.

Disadvantages

Its way too sweet and coloured peach. I dont understand why should one add colour to edible things. Also has a strong smell which is definitely not just vanilla .. it feels very artificial both color and essence wise. Its ok overall but I wouldnt recommend or buy it again.
