Mulethi (Licorice) is also called Yashtimadhu in Ayurveda. It is an important herb used in Indian medicines home remedies folk medicines and Ayurveda. It is beneficial in these diseases due to its medicinal properties. It is a good anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent. It contains a sweet substance and a saponin glycoside. It is 30 to 50 times sweeter than sugar and taste of sweetness in mouth lasts longer than sugar. The main beneficial effects of Mulethi are on digestive system and respiratory system. It helps in relieving gastric symptoms such as heartburn burning sensation in the abdomen etc. Mulethi acts as an antacid and reduces free and total HCL levels in the stomach.

The combination of mildly sweet flavour of licorice & strong aroma of spearmint is Rejuvenating & De-stressing. It has also helped in relieving my sore throat.I like to steep it for good 15-20 minutes as it doesn't taste bitter and draws out most of the flavours.Total value for money.Highly recommended??

Mulethi tastes sweet (naturally sweet), I am a regular user of Mulethi and is a great drink.I like to drink this more often in summer. 1st time I brought Mulethi from Indian Chai (I have ordered plenty times from organic India co.), in Indian chai Mulethi comes with peppermint leaves. 1 star is withheld since I felt cost unreasonable.

A tea which retails for 3500rs/kg and positions itself as premium should not have dead insects in it!!Was horrified to find a Big dead insect inside the tea. Fortunately I didn’t brew and drink it!! Who knows if there were other broken particles or excretions of the insect in the tea!!
