This olive / khakhi green coloured tea is from Korakundah estate established in 1922 at an elevation of approximately 8200 feet and is one of the highest tea gardens in the world and one of the first Nilgiri tea garden to be certified organic and they also implement fair labour practices for their workers. When infused the tea has an excellent aroma and taste with hints of straw and a toasty minty nuance to it probably from the Nilgiri/ eucalyptus trees available around the estate ending with a slightly astringent finish.
