Science behind this face serum: Niacinamide or vitamin B3 is an essential nutrient for living cells. It is a well-researched molecule of importance as it builds an epidermal barrier that acts as the first line of defense against oxidative stress. Niacinamide is involved in the biosynthesis of ceramides in keratinocytes and as a result the increased rate of ceramide synthesis influences the barrier effect of the stratum corneum (outer most layer of skin). Got a nice texture and easy to spread on the face. Niacinamide is a very safe and stable ingredient. I bought 5% because most of the clonical trials have been done with 3-5 percent. However it is ok to use upto 10% experts suggest. Since I am new to skincare and wanted to take it slow and steady, I opted for 5% and also the hyaluronic acid is at 1% which is great. I use this twice a week with the minimalist toner (toner first, wait 10mins) then finish it off with the oat moisturizer. Basically all of the products form minimalist. Their products are fragrance free which is super important for me and ingredients are clean and considerate for indian skin.

I purchased this serum for uneven pigmentation , open pores and to have a clear skin .After a complete use of one mon these are are skin pictures. My skin did not show any kind of effect, also it got a bit worse than before. This product may work for others. But for me it's a fail. I am going try Salicylic acid serum.
